There was a tragic story on the news the other day about a man killed in a fatal Genesee County drunk driving semi-truck accident on November 23 in Flint. According to the police, a 57-year-old Flint man, driving a station wagon, was attempting to turn left onto West Pierson Road, from Dupont Street, when his vehicle was allegedly struck by a semi-truck. Police further stated the truck left the scene but the driver was arrested about a mile away. Police also stated witnesses said that semi-driver did not have his headlights on and was driving recklessly, prior to the crash. Police suspect alcohol played a factor in this accident and are still investigating.

There was a story in the news today about a pedestrian hit by a dump truck in a Washtenaw County Accident on November 18 in York Township. According to the Washtenaw Sheriff’s Department, a 20-year-old York Township man was walking on Judd Road, near Moon Road, when he was allegedly struck by a dump truck. He suffered serious injuries and is in critical condition at a local hospital. Police are still investigating this accident.
