There was a story in the paper about a Missaukee County multiple semis accident on December 16 near Lake City. According to police, a chain reaction accident happened when a logging truck allegedly lost two tires and kept driving. Police state that a second semi carrying logs hit the two tires, lost control and crashed into two other oncoming semis. Two of the semis burst into flame. Police state all the drivers escaped and were not hurt. Police are still investigating this accident.

St. Joseph Township Three Truck Accident

There was a story in the paper today about two truck drivers injured in a St. Joseph Township three truck accident on December 10 in Berrien County. According to the Michigan State Police, a semi-truck, traveling on I-94, allegedly jack-knifed due to possible slippery roads and caused a chain reaction with two other tractor-trailer trucks. Two of the drivers suffered injuries. Police are still investigating this accident at this time.

Fatal Missaukee County Semi-Truck Accident

There was a story on the news today about a woman injured and a teen killed in a fatal Missaukee County semi-truck accident on November 30. According to police, a Lake City woman, and her 15-year-old passenger, were driving on M-55, near Menzies Road in Reeder Township, when an Elmira man, driving a semi-truck, allegedly lost control of the semi, jack-knifed and slid into her car. The 15-year-old boy died at the scene The Lake City woman was taken to Munson Medical Center for treatment of her serious injuries. Police are still investigating this accident.
