Driver Suffers Brain Injuries After West Branch Semi-truck – Car Accident

Nelson Smith was injured in a West Branch semi-truck accident that occured on Greenwood Road. and Alger Road around 11 a.m on January 2nd. Smith lost control of his vehicle crashing into the side of a semi-truck that was traveling north on Alger Road. Michael O’Dell, the driver of the semi-truck, was not injured in the crash, however, Smith suffers from bleeding and swelling in his brain as well as facial fractures, broken jaw, clavicle, wrist, and ribs.

I am very sorry to hear about this accident. I hope the injured victim has a fast recovery without any permanent damages.

Our Michigan truck accident attorneys advise victims of their legal rights. For this type of semi-truck-car accident, the injured driver may be able to submit a claim for Michigan no-fault insurance benefits. No-fault benefits will cover their medical expenses, lost wages, attendant care, replacement services, and other benefits related to injuries suffered in the accident. The injured victim can submit these benefits even if they did not have a Michigan automobile insurance policy.
