Truck Injury Lawyer Reports Driver Injured After Semi-Truck Accident
Our truck injury lawyer in Michigan is reporting an Ottawa County semi-truck accident that took place on U.S. 31 at Ferris Street on Friday, February 10th. According to police, Mary Baars feel asleep behind the wheel, causing her car to rear-end the back of a semi-truck, driven by truck driver, Richard Denkins of Grand Rapids. Baars car went six feet underneath the semi-truck upon impact of the accident. Baars suffers injuries due to the accident. Denkins was not injured.
Rear-ending crashes are the most common car crash in the United States. Nearly 2.5 million accidents are a result of being rear ended. These accidents often happen at low speeds, but the consequences can be deadly. According to the National Safety Council, rear end accidents often result in whiplash, which account for 20 percent of the injuries out of the 2.5 million accidents that get reported.
I am so sorry to hear about this accident. I hope the injured victim have a fast recovery without any permanent damage. (more…)
