Belleville Semi-truck Fire-truck Accident

There was a story in the paper today about a truck driver hurt in a Belleville semi-truck fire-truck accident on February 7th in Wayne County. According to the Michigan State Police, a truck driver was critically injured when his semi-truck allegedly collided with a fire truck on eastbound I-94 near Rawsonville Road. The driver was taken to University of Michigan Medical Center for treatment of his serious injuries. Michigan State Police are still investigating the accident.

I am very sorry to hear about this tragic accident and hope that the injured truck has a complete and full recovery from his serious injuries.

Our Michigan truck accident lawyers advise accident victims of their legal rights. For this type of truck accident in Michigan, the injured truck driver can submit a claim for Michigan No-Fault insurance benefits. No-Fault benefits will cover his medical expenses, lost wages, attendant care, replacement services, and other benefits related to injuries suffered in the accident. The injured parties can claim these benefits even if he did not have a Michigan automobile insurance policy.

In addition, the truck accident injury victim may also have claims for personal injuries against any driver determined to be at fault in this auto accident as well as the owners of the fire truck. The insurance company for the negligent driver and owners of the truck typically pays a settlement for this type of case. In this lawsuit, the injured victim can claim damages and compensation for the injuries suffered in the accident. At the very least, he should hire the best possible lawyer to look into these possibilities.

An experienced Michigan truck accident lawyer can assist the victim with this type of claim. Accident victims should not speak with the insurance adjuster for the negligent driver before consulting with an attorney.
