There was a story in the paper today about a truck driver hurt in a Belleville semi-truck fire-truck accident on February 7th in Wayne County. According to the Michigan State Police, a truck driver was critically injured when his semi-truck allegedly collided with a fire truck on eastbound I-94 near Rawsonville Road. The driver was taken to University of Michigan Medical Center for treatment of his serious injuries. Michigan State Police are still investigating the accident.

I am very sorry to hear about this tragic accident and hope that the injured truck has a complete and full recovery from his serious injuries.

Over the weekend, I was reading the paper and came across a story about a serious injury that occurred in a Flat Rock Truck Accident on Thursday, July 31st. According to police, the driver of a Mazda CX-7 sport utility vehicle turned onto Gibraltar Road when his SUV was allegedly struck by a semi-truck.

The SUV driver had to be extricated from the vehicle. He was airlifted to the University of Michigan Medical Center with serious injuries, including a broken rib. Police indicate that the SUV driver was at fault but continue to investigate.

I  am very sorry to hear about this tragic accident and wish the injured driver the fullest and speediest recovery possible.

Our Michigan truck accident lawyers just filed a serious truck accident accident lawsuit arising out of a West Michigan truck accident.  The accident happened in Muskegon County at the intersection of  Apple Road and Newaygo Road.  The suit alleges that the truck driver was negligent and crashed into our client’s passenger vehicle. 

Our client suffered serious orthopedic injuries, a head injury, and other painful and major injuries.  He required extensive medical treatment and will continue to do so in the future.  The injuries have also disabled him from his work as an electrician.  Under Michigan law, he is receiving Michigan No-Fault Insurance Benefits for his medical expenses, lost wages, and other essential services.  His insurance company is voluntarily paying these benefits.

The lawsuit was filed in the Wayne County Circuit Court.  The suit seeks personal injury damages from the trucking company for non-economic damages, like pain and suffering, and economic damages, like wage loss claims that go beyond the three years that the No-Fault Insurance Company must pay.  The truck company has not yet filed an answer to the lawsuit.
